Nhoaa Powell is a co-owner of AnerTaila Designs, a personalised, handcrafted jewellery business established in 2019. Nhoaa is currently enrolled as a Junior at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University pursuing a BSc in Biology with a focus in Pre-Med. After completing my bachelors, I plan to go to medical school and achieve my goal of becoming a neonatal surgeon. She is currently working as an Addiction Counselor in a local outpatient treatment setting. Dayla founded Tele Connect in 2019 when she identified barriers that exist for people seeking mental health care. CEO of BILTIR, Suzanne Williams-Charles, discusses her new role within the organisation, BILTIR’s recently released industry report, and the overarching state of the Bermuda long-term insurance market.

 

Suzanne Williams-Charles is the Chief Executive Officer at the Bermuda International Long Term Insurers and Reinsurers association. As CEO, Williams-Charles is responsible for leading the organization’s global advocacy, public and regulatory policy initiatives. Williams-Charles is also responsible for leading BILTIR’s community outreach agenda.

 

Prior to joining BILTIR, Williams-Charles was the Director of Policy and Regulation, Corporate Secretary and Data Privacy Officer at the Association of Bermuda Insurers and Reinsurers. Also serving as Head of Reinsurance Compliance at Hiscox Re and as Deputy Director of Insurance Supervision at the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA).
